How to apply a padding bandage to a foot: Padding bandages are commonly used under casts, as well as after foot surgery, along with a crepe bandage and/or tubular bandage. Soffban has been used for this demonstration.
Soffban padding bandage – wrap around the forefoot
Wrap your padding bandage of choice around the forefoot avoiding the toes a couple of times
Roll the the soffban padding bandage over the toe toes
Roll the padding bandage from under the foot to over the toes and down diagonal over the forefoot.
Roll the bandage to the heel
Roll the soffban towards the heel and ankle. Do not pull tight.
Apply the padding bandage around the back of the heel
Roll the soffban around the heel high enough, so it does not overhang to under the heel. Start rolling along the side of the foot. It does not matter which side. It will probably depend on which side you started the roll.
Roll the bandage around the foot
Keeping the side angle continue to wrap side ways around the foot.
Finish off the bandage
One can roll around the midfoot to finish. One can go up the ankle to finish or continue up the leg, overlapping by half if applying a cast or compression bandage afterwards.
The soffban can be torn and restarted and seems to hold and not flop off when restarting.
